Our Homebuyer Education Classes
Classes are held once a month at St. Monica Catholic Church in the Knights of Peter Claver Building. The goal of these classes is to provide homebuyers the information they need to learn what homeownership is all about.

Our Financial Literacy Seminars
These seminars focus on banking basics. AHCDC knows how important it is to be able to budget and save your money. We provide valuable information so you can make informed financial decisions regarding balancing a check book, saving money, and finanical planning. These seminars are open to everyone and are free of charge.

Our Foreclosure Prevention Seminars
The seminar is hosted by NID Housing Counseling Agency, a HUD approved organization. These seminars are open to everyone and are free of charge.

You should bring copies of the following if you are in need of assistance:

Two months of mortgage statements
Copy of promissory note(s)
Two months of current pay stubs
Three months of bank statements
Two years of tax returns
Current property tax statement
Homeowners insurance policy
Utility bills and credit card statements
Personal loan statements
Hardship letter

Our Housing Counselor Services
AHCDC has a certified housing counsleor on site who is available to answer your questions. We offer free assistance with foreclosure intervention for families who are in finanicial crisis. Please contact us to make an appointment, or to speak with our counselor.

More Events
We hold an annual fundraising event in August to award our volunteers and supporters. Our Volunteer Luncheon is held annually on the first Thursday in August. This year the event will be held AuFor the year 2011 the date is August 4. Details to come!

We have ad space that needs to be purchased for our luncheon booklet. Purchase early to get a good spot! If you are interested in purchasing an advertisement, please contact us.

Our annual Holiday Appreciation Reception to give back to the community is the first friday in December. For the year 2011 the date is December 2. Please contact us for more information.
