All grants are provided by the City of Houston and Harris County. AHCDCorp simply helps Houstonians find the resources they need to receive grant assistance.

There are grant options provided by Houston HOPE, HAP, Houston Workforce, and Harris County.

Mortgage Qualifications
AHCDCorp will help you find a lender to provide your mortgage needs.

To qualify for a mortgage you will need to provide the following information:

Income
Credit History
Debt to income ratio (the ability to pay a mortgage and your current major bills)
Your family size

Poor credit may be resolved by working with creditors or getting assistance with Credit Service Agencies.

Sales Price of Homes
Home prices start in the low $100's.

Qualifying for grant assistance
Having a down payment in addition to closing cost assistance; this ranges from $19,500 to $30,000 for a new or existing home.
The sales price cannot exceed $150,000 - $200,160 (depending on program).

The maximum income for the household size of one person is $35,500.
For two people the maximum income is $41,700.
For three people the maximum income is $46,900.
For four people the maximum income is $52,100.
For five people the maximum income is $56,300.
For six people the maximum income is $60,400.
For seven people the maximum income is $64,650.
For eight people the maximum income is $68,800.

Qualified applicants must participate in a Home Buyers Educational Seminar to receive funds.
